Information Security and Privacy Global Policy Statement

TalkProTech is an online platform dedicated to providing English language education and resources. 

We collect and use personal data to offer people information, products, and services related to English language learning. This policy applies to all our operations, to all forms of information, and to all systems used to collect, store, process, or transfer information. 

TalkProTech adheres to the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and French data protection laws as our global privacy standard. In countries where these standards conflict with local law, local law that meets internationally accepted privacy principles will take precedence. 

TalkProTech is committed to: 

  • Performing privacy impact assessments to protect the privacy, rights, and freedoms of our students, staff, and relevant stakeholders. 
  • Protecting the confidentiality, integrity, availability, and resilience of the information we collect, store, transfer, and process in accordance with EU and French law and international good practice. 
  • Explaining why we need personal information, only asking for necessary personal information, and only sharing personal information within TalkProTech and with other organizations as necessary or where the person concerned has given their consent. 
  • Clearly communicating to our students, staff, and relevant stakeholders the purposes for processing their personal information, including the legal bases for processing. 
  • Allowing individuals to exercise their rights in respect of the personal information we hold on them, including the right to complain if they believe their information has been mishandled. 
  • Not keeping personal information for longer than necessary. 
  • Taking measures to protect the rights and freedoms of individuals whose personal information may be transferred to countries with differing data protection laws. 
  • Ensuring that actual or suspected breaches of information security are reported and investigated. 
  • Assessing the maturity of our information security controls annually. 
  • Applying these standards to our supply chain and delivery partners. 

We will provide adequate and appropriate resources to implement this policy statement and will ensure it is communicated and understood. 

TalkProTech will review this policy statement annually to reflect new legal and regulatory developments and ensure good practice.
